(R) Crataegus Rosea Plena 10L

Sale price£59.99

Crataegus laevigata 'Rosea Flore Pleno' goes by many other names but perhaps the most commonly known is the Double Pink Flowering Hawthorn Tree. Although it is an ornamental tree, it is a relatively small, slow-growing one, usually only reaching 4 or 5 metres in height in 20 years. But it’s worth giving garden space to for its tiny pink rose-like flowers in spring, it’s red haws (berries) in summer and the dark green leaves turning a lovely yellow/bronze in autumn. It will grow in almost any conditions, including exposed, coastal, damp or polluted sites. It has a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) ‘Award of Garden Merit’ for its versatility, its beauty and its hardiness. Crataegus laevigata 'Rosea Flore Pleno' is a fairly low maintenance plant. Either lightly prune after flowering or in the autumn to tidy the shape and ensure a good amount of light reaches the inner branches. Sold as an established, 10 litre specimen, we would recommend staking your tree for the first few years, until it becomes established. Plant as soon as possible after purchase and water in well.

10ltr pot.
