Lavandula Angustifolia Hidcote 2ltr

Sale price£7.99

This variety of English lavender is a smaller version of the well-known plant, and it is named after the renowned Arts and Crafts garden in Gloucestershire, created by plantsman Laurence Johnston. It blooms with compact clusters of highly scented, rich purple flowers during the summer months. The slender, silvery-grey leaves emit a delightful fragrance and make it an excellent choice for lining paths and borders. When brushed against, the aromatic foliage releases a pleasant scent into the air. This lavender also thrives in gravel gardens and can be pruned into a formal sphere to achieve a modern aesthetic. Its flower-spikes are particularly attractive to bees and other nectar-seeking insects.
