(MG) Dionaea Little Monster Plant (Venus Fly Trap) 8.5cm

The Venus fly trap thrives in subtropical wetland conditions and demands consistently wet roots. Keep the pot sitting in a saucer of rainwater or distilled water at all times – tap water, particularly in hard water areas, can be fatal. Plant in sustainably grown live sphagnum moss or peat-free carnivorous plant compost.

Maintain temperatures between 10–27°C (50–80°F), with full sun essential for healthy trap development and vibrant red colouring. During winter, provide a cooler rest period above 10°C – this dormancy is crucial for long-term vigour.

Avoid dryness at the roots and poor lighting, which weakens traps and impairs their function. This carnivorous plant rewards careful attention with spectacular growth and fascinating feeding behaviour.
