Hydroleca comprises hard ceramic pebbles created by firing clay granules at 1200°C, resulting in an exceptionally lightweight material with a smooth exterior and honeycomb core. The cellular structure absorbs water gradually and releases it back into growing media, whilst providing outstanding insulation against temperature fluctuations. Use as an attractive decorative mulch for indoor and outdoor potted plants, or as a crocking layer for drainage in pots. The honeycomb design creates a beneficial micro-climate around containers and greenhouse benches, protecting plants from extreme temperature variations. Always wear protective gloves during handling.
